OUCH! I just saw a news report that claims gas prices could rise another .75 cents by Memorial Day. That could take the prices to 4.00 a gallon! I just filled up today and spent $75.00! How depressing.:(

I filled my SUV up with gas and got 3 gallons of milk and it was just under $100. Ridiculous. Something has got to give.

We're at $3.07 right now. I don't see how any average person can survive this if the wages aren't raised along with gas.

What seems crazy to me is that diesel fuel costs more then regular.

3.34 for regular down here in FL. Yup, my dad and I heard the same snippet in the news about gas raising to $4 a gallon soon. It's just sick!!

It's about $3.18 here. Diesel is outrageous, I've seen it over $4 a gallon. I'm glad I just bought an SUV.

The closest station to me is 3.95 a gallon. My hubby insists on putting the premium gas in his tank so he pays even more...4.15 a gallon!

I'm just grateful that I teach very close to where I live, so I don't have to fill up as often.

I just paid $3.19....put in $20 (its all I had!) and only got a half a tank......I drive a Honda Civic...I remember when $20 filled the tank.
My lease is up in July and I am moving closer to work...

It's 2.97 here, THANK GOODNESS and I use the Wal-Mart gift card at their gas station and save 3 cents, even converted my fiance over to doing that. I'm just glad I only live 15 minutes away from work, as opposed to 35 minutes last year.

I've started shopping at Kroger's, because getting 100 points saves you 10 cents per gallon on gas. But regular gas around here is around $3.19. And I drive 40-45 miles round trip to work; I can't afford gas like this! I've cut down to going nowhere but the grocery store!

I'm thinking about asking if I can ride the school bus to school ;)

I used to live 1/2 block from school, walked every day. We moved about 5 miles out in the country, which isn't too bad.

    Does anyone have a hybrid?

I live in a totally other district and commute with these high gas prices are atrocious!!! You are talking bou $3.35 a gal and I have an economical vehicle. I still have to fill up 2x a week.

Something needs to be done my pocket is hurting.

Gas is at $3.39 at the cheapest spots in town here. I'm glad I just bought a motorcycle! Up to 70 mpg, baby!

It's around $3.18 or so here in Ohio. Diesel has been well over $4 for weeks now. It's really pathetic.

Something has got to happen because this is insane!

I pay about $3.29 a gallon. I drive a Ford Explorer and have had to cut stuff out of my budget. I don't go out to eat very often anymore (used to eat dinner out a few times a week). And now I usually split something with a friend I am with. No movies, no bowling, no new clothes.

What have you had to cut down on? Or cut out completely?

A couple of years ago when gas started to rise, we moved because of the prices. My husband was spending more on gas a month than both of our car notes together. I just wish I could afford to buy a new car...I am totally going hybrid next time(or whatever gas reduced vehicle is on the market at the time).

Maybe I should get this for my next car. I know a couple of people who are getting one. They have had these in Europe for quite some time now.

Gas was $3.28 today. Luckily I only have a 10 mile (5 there and 5 back) commute to work so I don't have to fill up very often. However, it's 15-20 miles for shopping and restaurants. But we usually only do that one day on the weekend. I have had to cut back on shopping though. Especially since I added a car payment to my monthly budget.

This will make the price of EVERYTHING soar
and my salary goes down each year.
It will drive even more out of the profession.

I had hoped with the upcoming election that gas would stay within reason. They want a vote! Well IMO this just proves how bad things have become.
