Hello all! Just got back from the doctor who said my gallbladder is inflamed. I need to change my diet immediately so it gets better and does not get worse. The pain I get is intermittent and only a 2 or 3 on the pain scale. What are some things you can eat? I know to stay away from large meals and fried/fatty meals.
In general everyone is different.... but when I was having gallbladder attacks it was mostly fried, fatty, and sugary foods. Though--- my gallbladder had to be removed and the only difference between then and now is that when I eat large quantities of those foods, which I learned VERY quickly to NOT do, you experience "dumping" in lieu of an "attack". Other than the listed foods, pay attention to steamed green veggies or large quantities of green veggies. It might just be a me thing, but something to keep an eye on.
I had to have my gallbladder removed. During the years that it took to diagnose it was a gallbladder problem, I was never able to eat more than a couple bites of oily fish like salmon or cod, especially for dinner. I would be in pain for hours afterward. Took me ages to figure this out, wish I did sooner, could have saved me a lot of pain.
My mom had her gallbladder removed recently. She's no longer in pain; however, there are still many foods that she's no longer able to eat.
Update: not my gallbladder. I had an ultrasound and blood work - they're still not sure what was causing my pain but thankfully the pain is mostly gone.
What were your symptoms? I was recently in the ER for an inflamed cervix and was given antibiotics. The symptoms are sort of still here, and I will be going to urgent care after work. My symptoms are low stomach cramps and low back ache that comes and goes. I had the similar symptoms years prior, and the doctor thought it was a stone or gallbladder. I have been checked for everything, and all were normal. I also have bouts of sweating
I may change my diet and start working out again. I have a feeling that my problem has something to do with being overweight
Gall and kidney stones don't always show up. Lower stomach cramps and low pack pain sound like it could be a kidney infections... or maybe Cystitis? Have you been checked for ovarian cysts?
