What is the furthest anyone has traveled for a potential job? I have an interview for a LTS position and it is almost an hr away :/ . I have another interview the day after so I'm debating on going to the one that is far away.
It would be a drag driving there everyday and still taking some courses. I just wanted to hear what everyone has done.

I just finished a nation-wide job search (well, sort of...I concentrated applications in the midwest/northern plains). I live in GA. I was lucky in that I got many interviews via phone and web-cam. I was offered positions in Minnesota and North Dakota. I'm taking the ND one.

A couple of years ago I had interviews five and seven hours away and a phone interview for a job about 1500 miles away (which I took, but have since moved back home). This year I've had interviews up to two hours away (I would have moved for that, though). I would go on the interview and see what happens. An hour probably isn't too bad for a LTS position, where you're just doing the commute for a limited amount of time and it would be a great resume builder. Good luck!

I once interviewed for a job in the Virgin Islands. Too bad they didn't fly me down for it, though. THAT would've been fun!

I also interviewed for a job in Hawaii.

    Didn't get either one.

I would definitely go to both. An hour commute isn't so bad for an interview, but daily it is a harsh commute (no chance of relocating?). I farthest I drove for an interview is 3 hours. I didn't get the position, but I didn't want to move there anyway.

Thank you everyone for your input! Wow three hour drive? Ah! Definitely not for me. I don't have any plans to relocate anytime soon, unless I was given something permanent.
I hope somebody likes me next week and gives me a job! haha

    Go on both interviews.

At the very least, the first interview will prepare you for the second.

I would say to go to any interview you are offered. I had an interview this past October that was 6-7 hours away and they called me at 9:30 to interview at 5 that evening, I didn't get the job, but I would have really regretted it if I had not gone for the interview.

I took a 3.5 hour bus ride of an interview. Bombed the interview but was offered a job.
