So I'm writing up my lesson plans for next week. When there's a holiday, we usually just write "Holiday" in the big box for that day. Thought I'd insert a little humor instead. :p

    Love it!

(On a related note, I wish my district had such forms where we can just fill them out on the computer. If they do, they have yet to share them with us.) (Sorry for the threadjack).

That's hilarious! If that were my lesson plan for tomorrow, I wouldn't mind going to school! :thumb:

Do you have to use that format for every lesson?

Yep. Every school in the parish I teach in has to use it. The parish next door (the one I live in) has a much simpler method. :/

Haha. Yeah the first year was pretty much a pain, especially since I'd come from my parish with the really simple plans. Now I'm used to it and I use a lot of what I did last year. The most aggravating part for me is that the really GOOD stuff we get to happens organically. I don't plan it, the kids just lead it (which is what the admins want). But if someone pops in for an observation and we're not doing exactly what's in the lesson plans for that day/moment, we get in trouble. Lame.

:(so sad that so many have to work under such constraints. I write my plans, then life in a classroom happens! Sometimes you need to re-teach or the kds were getting so much done in writing that you pushed science for tomorrow...I'm blessed to have flexibility and the trust of my administrators.

So back to Labor Day...pork shoulder has been in its rub all day and s headed to crockpot ths evening for overnight cooking!

My administrators are wonderful! They are incredibly supportive and trust me with a lot of responsibility at my school. We have great instructional coaches, too. It's really the sup. who makes these demands and reigns down hellfire and brimstone if it's not followed to a T. :/ Sooo I just adapt and keep on trucking, droppin' knowledge (in the kids' words) everywhere I go. Haha.

Hahaha I did! They probably won't be surprised. I do this kind of thing all the time. I did this to our copy machines last year:

and our homeroom class had to help us make a "Kick Butts" day poster, and we did this:

Cute! My principal would appreciate that lesson plan! Thankfully we don't have to fill out detailed forms like that. I can't imagine, since in grade 1 we change activities every 15-20 minutes!!
