Here's something fun! What's your favorite highlighter color? I like pink the best. I used to like yellow, but it doesn't stand out enough since it's so close to the wht paper. Blue & purple are a little too dk & I don't care for orng & grn.
Only yellow. Anything else gives me a headache. It made it very hard to buy used textbooks in college for this reason.
I don't like the really "wet" highlighters because they're often visible through the other side of the page. My favorite is the yellow Flair pen that comes with the big package--perfect for the smaller print in paperbacks.
I don't have a purple & it's my fav color!!! We used to hand green ones to the kiddos. I would say green or blue. I like to use different colors for different things.
I do like green, especially if it is a little lighter, but my favorite is that very NEON yellow. Not just plain yellow.
I like all colors, the brighter the better. I usually use orange or green. I really like the ones with the sort of smooshy, wet tip. Hard to describe, I guess. I rarely highlight in books, and even then it's usually only because someone is making me. I've studied ancient manuscripts for so long and so it's been drilled into me that YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE TEXT! In college and grad school, we weren't even allowed to make notes in the margins of the Latin books we were translating because to do so would be to dirty up the text, which must always be kept pristine. I just can't get away from that mindset, I guess.
I color code (on top of taking notes in different colored pens) when I study to chunk information, so I use them all and my notes look like a rainbow when I'm done. It might drive some people crazy, but the colors are how I remember!
I don't use highlighters. I'm an underliner and margin note taker. I don't read anything without a pen in my hand, even novels for fun.
