Well, I couldn't sleep so got up in the wee hours to watch the lunar eclipse. Pretty awesome. Then, got ready and headed to school. We are in our second full week.

OMG! These kids have been pretty good up until today. Then all h*** broke loose. I thought it was just me, but apparently not. The other teachers in my hall all said the same thing. The kids were wild and on all of our last nerves.

Anyone else have this experience on this auspiscious day?

I did notice a little difference but the first days of K are always hectic anyway.

The eclipse began at 6.50pm and was over by 10.30pm over here (eastern Australia) so most of the kids in my grade got to see at least part of it. I set my camera on a tripod and went out every 5 minutes or so to get another shot. Luckily we had a really clear night and, for winter, it was very mild too. Great all round.

And the kids were fine today, but then they had a normal night's sleep, too. :)

None of mine really watched it, I think it was just the karma. Today, they were back to normal...really good.

My almost 4 yr. old has been in a lot of trouble at daycare for the past few days. Normally, they don't have any problems with him so I knew something was strange.

Yesterday, my normally angelic 4th graders lost their minds. I had no idea about there being an eclipse or a full moon. At the end of the day, I asked a friend if it was a full moon. She confirmed it and told me about the eclipse. There were quite a few of us that had our hands full yesterday.

Yep! the kids were crazy here...I felt really frazzled too. The brightness of the moon woke me up several times too.

Could be. It really seemed to throw thing more than usual. Another teacher here said the school should have a day holiday on full moons, and three days for eclipses.
