my score is still unavailable. I think it needs two weeks to show the score online. competency 1-4 is big portion for the exam. I now have 4 different review books in front of me, and still try to figure out how to study. wish to find more questions to practice, or may be a study group to work with or something else I don't know.
Yeah I know 1-4 is a big portion. Depending on the version I have had great scores in those areas but just 2 points away from passing and then this version where those were the areas I was too low in to pass....it's frustrating in more ways then one, which you know, Have you looked into Quizlet? They had some study guide information - terms, questions and answers which I know I have seen on the test before.
Yes, I did look into quizlet. i felt pretty confident after I practiced all the questions, and reviewed the terms, however I still got no pass report. I feel that may be we did not get into the way they want us to look at these questions, but just couldn't figure out what is it.
True....I think they want us to think a certain way which they may think is correct but when you get down to it it may not be. I spoke with my administrator today and we got into a conversation about Pearson and how they have their hands into everything as well as how the percentage rate has dropped from 80% to 20's for the Professional Education Exam a long with the other exams. I was told Pearson does not have a good reputation due to all this. I say we paid enough for college and passed so we know what we are doing, isn't that good enough? All the money spent for the degree of choice and make us pay for these tests...it's crazy the amount of money spent. I just want it done and over.
Help! I just took this exam and did not pass. I do not know by how much. I really don't even know what to study or how to better prepare. I have looked up some of the questions that I had problems with and cant even find the answer in my practice books. Can anyone please recommend any sort of study guides or anything that can help me with this kind of test. I felt blind sided with how these questions where worded compared to the practice test and books I have studied. Anything will help THANK YOU!
Desperately Seeking "Tutor" Sorry but I had to with my title I just moved to Florida from Ohio and need to take the FTCE early elementary ed k-6 exam so that I am able to start teaching. I graduated from OSU 3 years ago so I am a little rusty to say the least, I AM IN DESPERATE NEED TO FIND A TUTOR IN, NEAR, OR HOWEVER FAR FROM TAMPA!! I found 1 but she was rude, inconsiderate, and made me feel flat out stupid. Our last session I left in tears and thats when I decided I wouldn't put myself in that situation. But she was the only tutor I could find that wasn't online!! I am so desperate I am terrible at studying and really need the help, please if anyone has any advice I will be indebted to you forever!!! Or if you can't recommend any tutors, even like a format for studying would be great!! Thanks.
thats odd that this just posted, I tried posting this months ago after having a tutor who was so old she would probably still swat my hand with a ruler! lol So funny, I am actually using seeds of knowledge now! thanks for the help!

Remove all of your feelings from this exam. Don't do what you think you should do as a teacher. For example: Don't call home to parents when you can solve the issue yourself. This test is based on standards, and what is reflected on FLDOE. Get the Navaed Pro Ed Study Course. I passed the first time with this. It was exceedingly thorough, and was standard's based. My boyfriend used the Navaed Elementary Ed study guide and he aced his exam the first time also.
Can anyone tell me how to get a tutor who knows the FTCE Professional Exam well. I have never failed a test in my life other than this. I have study guides and I feel I have study guide material down, however, the material in study guides and this exam were on opposite ends of the spectrum.
