Hey! I'm in the process of becoming a biology teacher here in Florida, and I'm really excited about the route I'm taking. That being said, I graduated with a major in health sciences, so I've only taken Biology I & II, microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology I & II. Any recommended websites, downloads, study guide books, etc would be greatly appreciated!
I didn't take the FTCE Bio however I just passed the FTCE Chemistry exam a few months ago. I bought the mometrix study guide on amazon ( they also have the bio version) and I studied that thoroughly. I supplemented anything I didn't understand by using the internet. The study guide gives you structure which I think really helps when you start studying.
Hello! I'd like also to get some recommendations! There are a lot of resources online, but it's hard to understand which one is the best
Hey there! I totally understand how overwhelming it can be to find the right resources for such a specific field. While I didn’t take the FTCE Biology exam, I found structured study guides like Mometrix incredibly helpful when preparing for other exams—they give you a clear roadmap. To fill in gaps or clarify tricky topics, online resources are great too. For example, if you're revisiting genetics concepts, educational resource like the https://edubirdie.com/docs/campbell-university/biol-342-genetics/84417-amoeba-sisters-video-recap-answers can break down complex ideas in an engaging way. Pairing a solid study guide with supplementary resources can make the preparation process much smoother. Best of luck on your journey to becoming a biology teacher!
