For anyone interested in free professional development, I found this site:

    http://www.pbs.org/teacherline/selfpacedcourses/

Many of the online courses are free. It's a great website!

I just finished the first module of the LEAD1101.5 - Promoting Positive Behavior in Schools I course. It seems like a legitimate source of information, and I think you are able to get a certificate at the end of it if you want. The course format includes reading material, videos, sections for note taking, and quizzes. I'm taking it just to be more informed and to keep current on my knowledge during my job search, but the site does say "Learners who successfully complete PBS TeacherLine courses are eligible for CEU credits from most states and school districts. "

Does anyone else know of any free PD courses like these?

Some of those look great! I'll be sure to check them out once I'm finished school.

The ones that interested me seemed to have a price...

I've done free courses through coursera, edx and Stanford online.

Another resource to look for- it's free and offers courses on many different topics (not just teacher courses): https://www.coursera.org/
