I was thinking about this today when I was talking to my friend who just got hired. She was saying how she had a really good feeling about it and thought it would at least be close. I felt the same way. At my first interview it just totally felt like home. Everyone in my interview and I got along great and even before my interview started I spent a long time talking with the secretary. I actually feel like she helped me get the job in a way! :D Then I had my second interview and felt pretty good about it. The parish priest kept asking me about my personal interests and saying things oh we have a parishioner who has horses too! You'll have to meet him. Not that I was convinced I had the job or anything but I had a good feeling that it would be close!

So how about the rest of you? Did you just get *That* feeling?

I have that feeling about a job I interviewed for yesterday. Everything just seems right. I'm just worried that someone else will stand out too since there are so many applicants. I know it will be close though! :) I'll let you know if I'm right next week!

I interviewed for two jobs this past week. The first job, I had a bad feeling about because I knew that the interviewers were biased against me. I continued to do the interview, however, knowing this, and was glad when it was over. I didn't look forward to getting a call back.

The second interview, complete opposite. I knew I was the interviewer's' preference, so that helped a lot. Although I did feel like I had a much better chance at getting this job than the previous one, I was never 100% sure, and I did look forward to getting a call back.

I did not know two of the five times I was hired. :) So, it is not always so cut and dry.

I can honestly say that I knew. I didn't get the job at first and the principal told me how hard it was to make the decision and she just felt like I belonged there.

I felt heartbroken, but I just knew it was going to end up okay. The next day she called me back and there was another opening. She told me the job was mine. It just felt so right.

I received an offer today and I expected it. I could tell by the way the interview went and by the way the P talked to me. I also had a very successful experience teaching in that district 10 years ago. So there seemed no reason for them NOT to hire me.

The last job I had was the same--I expected it.

My first position I wasn't sure about the callback for the 2nd interview, but I did know after the 2nd interview that I would probably get it.

It's kind of like being pregnant...you just know. :)

Well, I don't have an official offer yet, but I was accepted into a company that outsourced teachers to private/charter schools. So once a school near me calls looking for an intervention specialist, I will have a job.

With that said, I did really feel so relaxed in that interview. Everyone was so friendly, and I kept getting positive feedback (ie "excellent" or "that's a great strategy"). The company is really supportive and does everything they can to develop me as an educator, which I like. I left the interview feeling really confident, and then I found out that I was part of their database!

No. I was extremely nervous at my interview and didn't think I did that well because I thought my nervousness was so evident. I've never been so nervous on any of my other interviews, it was really strange. My boss ended up calling me to offer me the job within the hour. I was SHOCKED. After offering me the job, she asked if I'd had a chance to look into housing in the area since we'd talked. I'm thinking "in the past 40 minutes?"

I had 8 interviews this year and was offered 3 jobs. I knew at those 3 that I would be offered the jobs. I just had a feeling because the interviews went so well.

My interview was with a panel of six principals from the district. Fortunately for me, there wasn't just one position available, but multiple from various teachers retiring. The one thing I did not like was there was no say where I wanted to go, they had the option of putting me in middle or elementary, from a range of schools! As soon as I left the interview, they said told the woman walking me out to get my appt. for finger printing...and the rest is history! No one formally ever told me I had GOT the job, it was just kind of known. They wound up putting me in an elementary school, close to home! I'm hoping this school year goes well... :)

Yes, I did. I knew when I walked out of the interview I had the job, partially because she told me I was her third interview and she was "legally required" to interview 3. And because the half hour interview turned into an hour long, deep talk.

She offered not even 24 hours later. :D

    :yeahthat:
I felt the same! I had three interviews in two days before I got the offer from where I am now. It felt right, but I felt so down and defeated from previous interviews. I was scared to believe it was the job for me.

nope. Although the AP was nodding her head and smiling the whole time the P was VERY straight-faced. I didn't think she liked me. The following day she called with the offer. When I went back in to visit a classroom, the P (who I didn't think liked me) ran out and hugged me and told how lucky they were to get me! Now I've been there several years.
