What are you planning on doing?

I am trying to get rid of a cold so I will be relaxing, reading, watching tv, take a nap and hopefully put away all my laundry, and maybe vacuum. If I can I will stay in my pjs all day:p

My house is such a mess, so I will be cleaning most of the day. And then I have a ton of work to do for school.

It's a snow day but I'm on the phone all morning trying to determine my insurance coverage for a cochlear implant surgery I'm contemplating.

All the things I was procrastinating yesterday. I am actually fortunate to get this day because I was really lazy yesterday. I did everything I needed to for today, but there were some things I had planned to get ahead, that I would have been trying to fit in at night this week.

So I will be doing my lesson plans for the next unit, starting a week from today, making homework packet cover pages, and...ugh...resumes?

I also am holding out hope that the roads will clear enough later to get to Office Depot. The one by me is going out of business and the entire store is 30-70% off and I could really use post its before they sell out!! But I don't know the chances of that trip happening today.

OH MY! My portion of the surgery is a measly $200!!!! This is a 30-60k surgery! I will have other expenses such as my copay for specialist appointments and having a cat scan, etc but that amount still blows me out of the water. Yet they won't shell out a dime for my hearing aid in the other ear. That will cost me $3-5k out of pocket.

I will probably be on here, my new obsession. I have my lazy cat sleeping on my typing arms. I may organize my living room, perhaps do a little painting. Who knows... I love lazy snow days, but darn this cat is making it hard to post!

Put the keyboard on top of its body. Mine finds that too distracting especially when I start typing away on the keys. He moves out of the way.

Two of my tutoring families called me already...they want to know if I'll come today....I'm considering it. Son wants to go get a haircut so we'll try the roads and then I'll decide. I'd definitely go if my Jeep was in the driveway but college grad son took that to work this morning in the snow figuring I didn't need it. I'd like to go tutor- I can get it done early in the day. Better get out of my PJs!!

Went back to sleep this morning after feeding/taking dog out. Just got up about 40 minutes ago, still eating lunch. I hope to get some laundry done later and maybe some cleaning. I've got some work to do for school, I want to chill, watch TV, play on the computer, and maybe read a book later as well. We'll see!

I did the last (yeah, right) 2 loads of laundry.

I proofread my trimester exam and makeup. I'm going to fix the typos in a minute.

I read a book with Kira.

I just got in from an hour and half outside-- shoveling and clearing off an assortment of walks and cars.

Next on the agenda is some freelance work I need to get to.

I slept late (til 7:30) got up fixed bf breakfast since he didn't go in until late due to the roads, took the dog out and let her go to the bathroom, took a shower, took care of dishes.

Need to finish my Diff. Inst. sheets for Reading and Math and also go to Wal-Mart to get a new remote for the living room TV.

I also need to copy some work for my kids to do on Thursday since I have to go to a meeting with the other team leaders (lucky I can print it on my laser printer). Also, need to clean the shower and do a couple of other things but odds are that it all won't be done today. I will try and get what I can done and what I don't... I won't. That's my newly developed attitude... I will do what I can but I can't do everything and I can't work miracles.

cng - that is absolutely fantastic that they will pay that much of the surgery. I am proud for you. :)

    I'm envious of you all!

We were supposed to have a staff development day today, but instead it's a snow make-up day. Boo! :(

The good news is that it's the start of Nevada Reading Week, so I'm having all my kiddos do SSR for 20 minutes every day this week. For me, reading is such a luxury, and I hope that they see it that way too. I brought it a bunch of my favorite books (including the Twilight series) for them to borrow in case they forgot their own books.

(They're doing SSR right now, actually. I'm half on A to Z and half reading Midnight Sun--the 5th, unfinished, unpublished book in the Twilight series. I love reading!)

My days are always free now, but today feels very odd. Dh left for a business trip about 15 minutes ago, and I'm still mourning his exit. It was nice to have him home this morning, and we had a such a great weekend that it feels like I lost a part of me. He comes back Wednesday evening, so it's going to be a long week.

I have a lot of work to do on the business today, and I'd like to get my nails done for my interview tomorrow morning. I'd also like to write a few sample lessons to show them, but I'm not sure the inspiration will strike. I need to pull myself out of my fog and get busy!

Was it on this thread that I mentioned that we shoveled the walk for the friend across the street??

Her college aged daughter just showed up; turns out she's home from school in RI and was asleep when we shoveled. She just came by to take ALL THREE of my kids out sledding :) :)

Chugging away at my freelance work. I promised the girls I would help them make brownies, so I'll have to get to that soon.

But I submitted one freelance assignment-- that's $200 in my pocket in a few weeks-- and started another.

It's just a shame that this particular job is ending. I strongly suspect that it's because of the economy; they had planned to open up another course, but it's on hold for the time being.
