food pyramid for young children

    does anyone know a website that has an easy self explanitory food pyramid and facts for parents. i used to have a print out and lost it. it was a pdf file maybe from scholastics early childhood today website. it is no where to be found. help!:eek:

    This site has printables and lots of info.

    I also saw the kinder classes in my building make a pyramid using different colored plates (I guess from a party store) for each category of the pyramid. The students cut out pictures of the food and glued them onto the different colored plates. It was really neat...this is kind of a vague description, but if you want more detail, let me know.
