Hey. So I had a first interview on Tuesday June 21st. It went pretty well considering they wanted me for a second interview with the superintendent the next day, so I thought. When I went on my first interview, they seemed pretty rushed to find people to fill the position (STEM teacher for middle school). The principal said that they wanted someone by Thursday. However, I met with the superintendent, and I asked him when he hoped to reach a decision by. He said "within a week". It's been two weeks and I have not heard back and I want to assume that I didn't get it, since the principal was insistent that they wanted someone asap. I would think that if the superintendent gave me some sort of timeline, then they would abide by that, or am I wrong to assume so? Also, since it's already two weeks after my interviews, should I send a follow up email asking about the position? I did send thank you emails to each of my interviewers stating on how very interested I am in this position, so I have reached out to them at some point. P.S. I checked on their district website, the posting is still there.
