This is just a little public service announcement from my better half who is a doc...he said he is seeing more patients this week with the flu than he has in years, and that he got a CDC alert this morning that the flu counts from this time last year were 850, and as of yesterday they are at 20,000. It's a strong strain of the H1N1 or whatever that flu strain was a couple years ago.

We had three kids go home in the last two days.

So... if you haven't, get a flu shot. I never have before but I am getting one this weekend, just in case.

I am in a new school as of this week, so new kids, new germs, lol.

I have had the sniffles all week, but so far that is all thank god, though we have three out now with it in our class alone.

We have been encouraging them to wash hands often and we are wiping down the desks every time they leave the room.
