    Hello all,

I have recently relocated to Florida and am debating getting back into education. Are there any Florida educators on here who can help me understand what the requirements are to be able obtain a temporary license in Florida for PE? I have taught before but in the private school world. I do not have a license but have a 4 year degree in the content area.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, the first thing you need to do is submit your credentials to the Fl Dept of Ed. They will review your transcripts and, if you are eligible, will issue a temporary teaching certificate. That will list the requirements you need to fulfill to receive your permanent certificate. You can teach with the temporary as you work on the requirements.
Florida always has lots of jobs so you should be ok. You need to be prompt right now about applying...the department is about to be swamped with graduating applications.
    Good luck!
