Does anyone send homework the first week of school? If so, what do you send home?
I do. We do Saxon Math..there is a sheet for homework with it, and is pretty easy. We also go over sight words they should have learned in Kinder. and have them do an activity for homework each night.
We start sending a reading log after parent night - which is during the second week of school.

Our first "homework" is getting the parents to fill out all the back-to-school forms.
Like Erin, my first is parental forms. Tomorrow (Monday was our first day), I will send home my first packet of the year. We use Storytown for reading, so I'm sending home flashcards of the kindergarten sight words, handwriting sheets for the alphabet, and some number recognition sheets in addition to my nightly reading log. I'll send more as the year progresses. I send my homework packet home on Friday, and it is due the following Thursday morning.
