I just got a call for an interview and I'm equally thrilled and terrified. This is my first interview after getting certified (my first full time teaching job sort of fell into my lap). I have to accept the invitation online and include a comment to the AP who will be interviewing me. The invitation does not include any information about what the interview will consist of. Would it be inappropriate to ask if I will be asked to do a demo lesson? Or should I just stick with "Thank you for the invitation, I look forward to meeting with you and learning more about the school, etc.?"
Congratulations! They would inform you if a demo lesson was expected. I've never heard of anyone having to do one at a first interview.
I'd probably research the school and mention a specific program that you'd like to learn more about. It will show more effort on your part.
