Does anyone have any good books to read to a first grade class on the first day of school. Any other suggestions on must have books I should have for first grade would also be greatly appreciated! :) this is my first year teaching so I am just starting my library of books :)

First Grade Stinks! I'm not sure who the author is. Very cute story about all of the things that aren't in 1st grade that were in kindergarten, but then it turns into things that are better about 1st grade. It's so true!!

I always read Froggy Goes to School (I love Froggy!). Never Spit on Your Shoes is a great one to read and then begin talking about rules.
