Does anyone have a pattern for an easy fire man hat for our Fire safety unit? I would like something my 3's can make to wear when the fire station comes to visit. Thanks so much!

One of the other Pre-K teachers here took a large piece of red construction paper. She cut the corners off to make a large oval. Then she cut a semi-circle out a few inches on one end so that it would stick up when you put it on the child's head to make the flat front part of a fire hat. Then she cut out an oblong hole for the child's head to stick thru. It's hard to explain without demonstrating, but if you laminate the paper, it holds up indoors. (if you're outside and you have wind....good luck!)

:blush:grrrrr wish I could explain it better...... it was pretty cute with a fire badge on the flat part.
