So the fire alarm went off in my nine story building. My son and I evacuate right away. So did about 40 other people.

The building has over 700 apartments!:eek::eek:

There was smoke in the halls of one of the towers, NO ONE ELSE LEFT!

They just looked out the windows.......:confused:

I don't get it, yeah it turned out to be one REALLY badly burnt dinner, but if there is smoke there is usually fire.

So if you hear of a building with 900 deaths from a simple grease fire, rest assured, I evacuated......but my neighbors are dunderheads.

But all those fire drills in school served me well, we were out, down the stairs four floors and in the parking lot in 1 minute flat!!!!:thumb:

I hate to think about the traffic jams that would exist if everyone decided they really should leave! Wow, 700 apartments - you definitely would want to be in front of that crowd.

It's four nine story buildings all connected with one long hallway....so there is room to get out, but still. I thought the management would post notices about not evacuating....but nope.

Park in the wrong parking lot.....that gets a notice
