I finally got a long term maternity leave job. WooHoo. November, December and January. I hope this will give me that chance to get a full time teaching job when the opportunity arises. I kept being told that I had no experience. So I am out there getting some. Hope this works.

It's for an ancillary class, computers. Not exactly what I would have chosen, but better than nothing. Guaranteed jobs and income for 2 months. Yay!!!!!!!!!

My advice to everyone is to let everyone you meet know that you are interested in subbing and would like a long term position if it comes available. I told the sec. at a school I commonly work at (Red). She has a friend who is sec. at Tinsley. Tinsley needed a long term temp, and sec. at Tinsley said she had a recommendation from her friend at Red. So, I got the job. K - 5th, computer class. Yay!!!!!!!!!!

I may sound nerdy (maybe I simply am a nerd :D) but planning activities for a computer class sounds FUN! Even if it isn't, well, it's only for a few months! :) Either way, you now have LTS under your belt. Congrats!

Congrats! I just got a job too but I've spent this week subbing in a k-5 computer class. LOVE IT. Seriously. Dream job. The kids throw on some headphones and they're in their own little world unless they need help! Plus, the material is fun!
