...how do you organize/store them? As in the ones that you actually have out for kids to use.

I store mine in a magazine rack that I got at a yard sale. Another idea might be a hanging wall organizer for folders.
I have some file folder games on my website, some of which are Kindergarten skills if you're interested. http://www.positivelyautism.com/downloads_foldergames.html
I have two hanging file folder pocket charts like this: http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/se...hartsactivitywalls/multiusechartssupplies.jsp One is for ELA and one is for math.

I actually store mine in colored dish tubs that I purchased at dollar tree for $1. I print out a label and back in on construction paper and then tape it to the front with clear packaging tape. It works pretty well and it's cheap! I hope this helps!
How many folders can you fit into each slot?
I would say at least 3 would fit into each slot. I usually only kept one in each slot and changed them out. File Folder games are a choice during center times.

The pieces go in a snack sized bag, and that and the file folder go in a gallon sized bag. They get placed in a tub. Every so often we have to go through them and be sure everything has their pieces, but they stay pretty nice if they are laminated!

I'm working on my own folder games so thanks for the advice. In response to storage I keep all my center items in tubs with small pieces in plastic bags.
