i am just feeling like such a blah today.....i have to get myself to a point that i am upbeat and positive and whatnot but then again, I have not had any interviews so at this point...the sheer mention of that opportunity would make me overly blissful!

ugh...feeling crappy today.....i know there is an ultimate plan and that I should trust in God's will and his guidance since I am positive he pulled me through that VRA test as well as the entire school experience....we had some trying times in my family during my hardest classes and I did well in all of them....

Now, why can't I do what I have to do, apply, and wait for God to place me where I need to be?

    UGH!

Gee, do I know how you feel! I have this song going through my head ...blue er than blue, sad er than sad.. some old song, can't even think of the rest.
It is so hard to wait on the Lord, we want what we want, when we want it. I keep giving my problems to God but then I just take them right back!
All I can say is to keep the faith and know that God is in control and He knows when we are sad er than sad..

    recipe for feeling down....

splurge and go out to dinner
    walk to the park
ride a bus to the end of the line and back
try a new type of food
    bake a cake... from scratch!
visit a sick or shut-in friend or family member
volunteer in a local nursing home
    volunteer in church
    volulnteer in a food pantry
gather up all those clothes you have not worn, and donate them
ask friends/family if you can babysit
ask friends/family if you can pet sit for weekend
    rent a movie
collect all loose change lying around house & car, and take it to bank
go back to an old hobby, and finish that project
    learn a new language
    learn a new skill
    take a part time job
cook up soup, stews, and meals for first weeks of work
stock up on snack size, lunch size juice/chips/snacks for work
    clean out closet, garage
    call a long lost friend
send a letter to somebody you have not spoken to in years
go to a local museum, play or concert
take an art class at the park district
go for a swim, learn how, or just put on suit and sit by water

only 3 weeks left in summer!

    Ok here's more...
    organize your photo collection.
send someone you care about a letter telling them why they are special to you.
write a letter to yourself explaining same
    read a classic
start making some Christmas gifts-(bookmarks,silverware pouches, sachets,--)
put together a cookbook for yourself with a dinner for everyday of the year(I've always wanted to do this-it can be customized for birthdays etc.)

Keep on singing and looking at the blue sunny sky and KNOW that God has plans that we may not understand. But, in the end, everything will work out.. If not, it is not the end.

    Sending hugs your way.

I think with each passing day, I get more and more down, but I have to remember that there will still be positions open right before school starts. I just wish I had had the summer to work in my room and work on lessons.

Its still early, its still early, its still early.

There is an old saying GOD helps those who help themselves. The ideas posted here are wonderful.I will use some of them myself. However with school starting shortly start contacting schools and find out if any openings have suddenly occurred in their school.Send out resumes to keep principals informed of your availability.Talk to any contacts you might have made about their schools.Good Luck.Hope something turns up.

Talk to everyone! Anyone. Don't be shy, sad, or withdrawn.

"Hi, I'm Master Pre-K, and I am looking for a teaching position."

As opposed to saying, Uh, Hi, I'm uh...between jobs, doing some part time work, really lousy economy, huh?

    Ask not, want not....

    Mariah says...

    There's a hero,
If you look inside your heart,
You don't have to be afraid of what you are,
    There's an answer,
If you reach into your soul,
And the sorrow that you know will melt away.

    [chorus]
And then a hero comes along,
With the strength to carry on,
And you cast your fears aside and you know you can survive,
So when you feel like hope is gone,
Look inside you and be strong,
And you'll finally see the truth that a hero lies in you.

    It's a long road,
When you face the world alone,
No one reaches out a hand for you to hold,
    You can find love,
    If you search within yourself,
And the emptiness you felt will disappear.

    [chorus]

    Lord knows,
    Dreams are hard to follow,
But don't let anyone tear them away,
    Hold on,
    There will be tomorrow,
In time you'll find the way.

    [chorus]

    That a hero lies in.....you______
Ooohh that a hero lies in.....you_____________
