Who are your favorite vocalists? I'm talking about removing all the background music and accompanying background singers - who do you think has an amazing voice? I could never choose one. I am an iTunes addict to my core :)

I no particular order (I love them all for very different reasons)

    Males:
    John Mayer
    Amos Lee
    Johnny Cash
Justin Timberlake (I never thought he was any good until I saw him live on the Today show...wow)
    Paulo Nutini
    Ben Harper
    Gary Jewels
    Seal
    Elliot Yamin
    Fink
    Alexi Murdoch
    Davis Gray

    Females:
    Sia
    Alison Krauss
    Adelle
    Sarah McLachlan
    Alex Parks
    Fiona Apple
The short one from Dixie Chicks
    Jewel
    Aimee Mann

I could keep going, but I think those are the top for now.:thumb:

Jewel has an amazing voice. I heard her sing when I was in college just after her first album came out. She sang some songs without any music and still sounded great. She can yodel too. I also saw her at another concert and she really doesn't need too much back up to sound good.

    Mariah who? ;)
My son and daughter made me 2 diff CDs, with all my favorite stuff like, "What's love got to do with it", The GREATEST love of all", "Brick House", "Reasons", "I'm proud to be an American", (Whenever I sing this around the house, hubby tells me, "You're not even an American!" FUNNY!), "Respect",etc.
Love singing them all in the car, especially at abt 9a.m., on the way to work. It pumps me up for work! I walk in through the front door still singing one of songs, and my day is ON!!!:D
    Only in AMERICA! :)

I remember spending hours upon hours making mix tapes (Come on now who else out there did that?!?) Boy the kids these days don't know how easy they have it.... I mean having a special 8 track to play cassettes...a little "Hit me with your Best Shot" & "Little Red Corvette"!!!!

    DizneeTeachR,
Tell me about the cassettes! I've got so many of those things laying around and hubby keeps telling me to get rid of them OR copy them on CDs. He even had them in the GET RID BIN, but I got them out.:)
    OFF THE SUBJECT NOW...
It was so funny, while in CA, I got some records from a friend who didn't want them anymore. I took one to work to play on one of the school's record player.
I took it out and a 5 year old boy said, "Teacher! That is a the biggest CD I have ever seen!"
:lol:My assistants and I cracked up. :lol:I had to tell him what it was.
    Times have surely changed,:D
