My favorite is the hockey, followed by figure skating.
Least favorite: curling. What the heck is it anyway? Looks like their vacuuming and mopping the floors!

Least Fav: Cross-Country Skiing (especially the long ones)

2 hours of boring then maybe a couple minutes of interesting.

Too many favourites to name--short-track, ski-and snowboard cross, hockey (of course). I don't watch curling much, but am amazed at some of the shots that are made.

Most fave - I'd have to say short track skating & the bobsled (especially the 4-man). I'm used to watching figure skating year-round anyway.

Lease fave - Curling & ice hockey

    Least Favorite: All.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but Winter Olympics is just not my cup of tea.

    I like pretty much all...
    - curling ranks up there with watching grass grow or golf to me... Actually it reminds me of shuffleboard on ice. I keep waiting for the "older" folks to come out to join them!!! LOL!!!

I really liked that new skiing event this year.

I've often said that watching golf is like watching grass grow or paint dry! I couldn't agree more!

    I have really been enjoying the Winter Olympics this year;

I enjoyed the race last night with the 4 skiers, ice dancing, figure skating, bobsledding, and many others. Not many winter sports in Louisiana, so I don't know the name of many of the winter sports.

Least favorite~curling-just don't get it and ice hockey

I love watching the curling!! (But, I also like watching golf...) I like that I can have it on as I'm grading papers and look up every couple minutes and know what's going on. I also love the short track speed skating, ski racing, and figure skating (just the women...). But, I'll watch any and all of them. I love the Olympics :)

My distinctly "non-sporty" grade 7/8 class has become addicted to the Olympics--much to their teacher's delight! Luckily for us, we get live coverage of almost all events and can watch either live or highlights for most of the day and night.

My husband ADORES curling. And he and my son are Islander fans, so they're enjoying the hockey. (IN fact, it's on upstairs right now.)

I love a lot of the events-- all the luge/bobsled stuff, the ski jumping, snowboarding-- just about everything BUT Curling and ice dancing.

    I love all of it.

I really like the short track, ski-cross and snowboard cross...

I also enjoy curling, but then I'm from western Canada... you don't grow up in Manitoba and not learn how to curl! It's a lot more difficult than it looks, and it is a VERY strategic game as well. Probably the smartest Olympians are curlers :)

    BTW, GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL for Canada!!!!

I have to say, I just haven't been into it this year. I am normally a big Olympics fan, but I just can't this year. Too busy!

But, I have watched some. I liked the halfpipe, short track speed skating, and maybe some of the skiing.

Didn't care for...well, much else. Not a fan of figure skating, or hockey on TV.

I love it all - although I normally go to bed when curling is on since DH likes to explain it all.
We are a hockey family so we are watching all the games. It was great to watch the Canadian women's team win gold.

I was very happy for Joannie; I am sure that is one of the hardest things that she had to do and for her to get a medal was amazing

But did you see the things that they did to celebrate? I think some of their actions are being questioned.

LOL I would have to say Curling is my favorite right now. I like the aerials (sp?) skiing. That amazes me... go down a hill then do all kinds of flips and turns in the air.

Least fav... hockey and the nordic stuff. Not to thrilled with long speed skating stuff either.

They drank beer and smoked cigars... Not much different than what many would do to celebrate such a win... and they waited until everyone was out of the arena... I don't get the big deal myself.

I don't either dfleming, but I think what everyone is amazed at is that they did it in their uniforms and one teammember is underaged to drink in Canada. I say let them celebrate!! I was happy that Joannie(sp?) won a medal. I was only a little disappointed that the Americans didn't get one. That Korean was amazing!! But the pressure she's under is enormous!

Oh, yeah, that pressure sounds just outrageous. She was so beautiful as she skated. I was mesmerized. A clear victory there.

Just to correct you STG... apparently the hockey player is underage in BC... she would not have been underage in her home province (Quebec). I realize that she still broke the law, but I could see how someone wouldn't think twice to have a beer if she is used to having a beer to celebrate. Much ado about nothing, if you ask me.
