What are your favorite pens/markers for grading papers? I love new pens/markers (Is that crazy?). What do you like best?

Uniball Vision Exact Rollerball. Blue ink.

Confession: when I left my school, ALL of the Uniball Vision Exact Rollerball's in Blue came with me.

I'm down to my last 2, and they are now really hard to find-they sell for $49.99 on Amazon, and garner those really funny reviews that George Takei posts on his Facebook.

I'm hyperventilating a little about that.

Papermate Flair are my absolute favorite. Sharpie pens are good, too. Sometimes I use plain old Crayola markers. I very rarely correct papers in pen- it is usually marker of some sort.

I do have a school supply addiction....

Nope, not crazy at all (or if you are than so am I!). I am a pen addict. It's good because I always seem to lose pens at work, but bad because pens aren't cheap.

I absolutely love grading with Sharpie's because they stand out more than using a regular pen (sometimes if my kids do a colorful assignment and I try to grade with a regular ink pen, you can hardly see my marks and comments).

But a SHARPIE. Aw man, those things can cut through even the toughest wax crayon residue.

I also really like these other pens, not sure who makes them, but they're black pens infused with color. So the ink looks black, but in the right light you can see green, red, blue, or purple highlights. Those are really cool.

Buying new pens and markers is one of my favorite things. I love writing with a pen that feels good.

I love Flair pens and always get a new set to start the year, but I've recently discovered Uni-ball Vision Elite, which are great for writing. Costco has them.

Mine are PaperMate Ink Joy. I just love the feel of them. I buy the big packs with 10 colors for my grading each year.

So many wonderful ideas and new pens added to my amazon wish list... :woot:

I usually use Crayola skinny markers or colored ballpoint pen. I like a lot of these ideas more, though.

Sharpie pens, Flairs or the Pilot ones. I use different ones for different things. Like, the Flair ones bleed through the handwriting newsprint paper we use for spelling tests, but the Pilots work wonderfully on that.

The Flairs also work incredibly well under the document camera! :)

(And no, not crazy at all! I was super excited a couple summers ago when I found bulk boxes of Sharpie pens on amazon super cheap...)

Almost all of my grading is done online, when I have something on paper that I need to grade I just use a regular purple pen lol.

I like them all and think I have them all! But I am always looking for something new!

It is a cheap addiction compared to some!

em_catz, my husband loves those black/infused with color pens. I am extremely attached to my many coloured, ultra fine point sharpie markers. New school supplies make me very happy!

I love the PaperMate Flair, mine are running low after a full year of use. Will definitely buy another pack with all the colors for next year.
