I'm looking for a new pen to use for grading this year. So lovely A to Zers, what is your all-time favorite pen to grade with?
Me and my Occupational Therapist love this pen: http://www.staples.com/Pilot-Dr.-Gr...m-Point-Charcoal/product_560512?cmArea=SEARCH
I like the papermate felt-tipped marker-like pens. There's also a gel pen I like that WalMart carries but I forget the brand name.
Also use papermate flair The teacher before me in my room must have used red Sharpies - not the fine point, but like a real sharpie, to grade papers. I tried it a few times. It looks pretty harsh but it is kind of cathartic.
Fine or the regular Sharpies...but in blue, green, or purple. No paticular reason for the colors, I just love them. Fine for making comments on reading/writing papers and the regular for spelling and math. Well to be more clearer, fine is better for my handwriting that seems big, slanty, and kinda bubbly. Okay, I'm a little too far indepth with this question...sorry! LOL
I've tried using the fine point Sharpie markers for grading, but the ink seeps through the page. The new Sharpie pens are really nice, though. I use them for my personal writing. Very smooth, and the ink is great.
I use these in Purple...I always grade in Purple...It makes grading more pleasant for me http://www.shoplet.com/Sanford-Nylon-Felt-Tip-Pen/SAN38014/spdv
I found the Flair pens on sale today, so I bought a pack. Now I know why so many of you recommended them! They're wonderful!
I know someone will laugh but so be it. I have a tendency to use my New Moon pen with Edward on it. Lol
I love the flair pens and thin crayola markers (the ones with the barrel that is about the size of a #2 pencil). It has less to do with the quality of pen/ink and more to do with the array of colors I can get - I'm totally type A/OCD and I color code my gradebook... and since I'm that type A personality I can't have some ballpoint pens, some gel pens, and some rollerball - they must all be the same and must come in a variety of colors.
