I inherited about five Dr. Jean CD's when I started teaching. Over the last couple of years I've become familiar with some of my favorites for use in the classroom.
"Macarena Months", "Goodbye Song", "Hello, How are You?" (not the actual title), "Color Farm", "Days of the Week", and "Tooty-Ta"
I know there are other great ones, but apart from listening to the CDs all the way through (and driving my husband nuts), I thought I'd ask you all to share your favorite Dr. Jean songs and the time of day you use them. Include the title of the CD too, if you know it.
    Thanks for the input!

I'm not sure the name of the song...or even if it is Dr. Jean! I play a song (wow-drawing a blank here- must be summer!) in the mornings to let them know morning work is over and it is time for our morning meeting. They know they must put away their supplies and be sitting criss-cross before the end of the song. They have 3 choices when they hear the music - sing along, mouth the words to the song or sit quietly in the circle!

It's some morning song. I really can't remember!

I love 'Rise and Shine'. It a great way to begin the day as they arrive. But I warn you, it is addictive and will get stuck in your head.

Love "lettercise" (we do the Zoo Phonics movement to it), and I like "who let the letter out".

I like Who Let the Letters Out (Who Who Who Who) and the vowel chant.

The others I like are Baby Fish and Pizza Hut.

I have 9 of her CD's. I made my own mix CD of the songs we used the most so I didn't have to pilfer through CD after CD looking for the song of choice.

I received a grant for all of her CDs, along with HeidiSong CDs, and I love them all! My personal favorite is Tooty Ta or the one about alligators and monkeys.
