This has probably been visited before, but it got me to thinking of my favorite chick flicks are: Breakfast at Tiffany's Legends of the Falls Hope Floats P.S. I Love You (newly added, of course )
There are so many!!! -Sleepless in Seattle & You've got mail - The Bodyguard - Any movie based on Nicolas Sparks books....New one coming out in June...can't wait to see it!!! -The Holiday -Titanic -Sweet Home Alabama - Casablanca -Singing in the Rain I'm sure there's more I just can't think of them.
When I was in high school my favorite Chick Flick was She's All That. I watched it recently and it was so not that good! I also loved Never Been Kissed. Of all time, sheesh. Sixteen Candles, Grease, The Wedding Singer, The Notebook...
LOVE that movie... a little tid bit...Kevin did all the pitching in that movie!!! Ok...really just about anything with Kevin Costner in the lead Role!!! LOVE HIM!!! Don't know if this is a Chick Flick...but LOVE Frequency!!!
Serendipity (or anything else with John Cusack) Fried Green Tomatoes The Cutting Edge You've Got Mail Pride & Prejudice (BBC version) Hope Floats A League of Their Own Breakfast At Tiffanys Stepmom Wedding Date Bed of Roses I'm a bit of a chick flick junkie.
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days Sweet Home Alabama A Cinderella Story 10 Things I Hate About You Diary of a Mad Black Woman Brown Sugar ...anything that has a happy ending
All time favorite Grease! And my hubby and kids tease me about it all the time. They think it is the dumbest movie ever made! What do they know!
Urban Cowboy Pride and Prejudice Legends of the Fall An Affair to Remeber Circle of Friends My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Moonstruck Fried Green Tomatoes As Good As It Gets The Bird Cage Steel Magnolias Dirty Dancing The In-Laws Return To Me Meet the Parents
Girl with the Pearl Earring Pride and Prejudice (newest) Murphy's Romance (I know the dialogue I've watched it so much!) French Kiss
Ohhh, I forgot Serependity, The Cutting Edge is good too. I just watched Return to Me tonight, yay! I also really liked Made of Honor.
Hmmm... I guess Muppet Movie doesn't count as a chick flick, but it's still my all-time favorite movie. As for those that DO qualify: Princess Bride (one of the few the guys will watch) Jane Eyre (the BBC version with Timothy Dalton) While You Were Sleeping (I sob every time) All About Eve (I'm a Bette Davis fan) Roxanne (remember that one with Steve Martin?) Steel Magnolias (the ULTIMATE chick flick)
So many...which to pick! Steel Magnolias Pretty Woman Gone with the Wind My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany's (Audrey Hepburn rocks) Hello Dolly (cmon, your singing to yourself right now!) Sixteen Candles Ghost(who can resist that TEAR?) Father of the Bride(both versions are great) Horse Whisperer(Robert Redford is still sexy at his age) Oh, I better stop. Love too many of them...
I love The Princess Bride, even the book! While You Were Sleeping is good too. I laugh so hard whenever I see Father of the Bride, especially at Frank. I have only seen the version with Steve Martin though. Father of the Bride 2 really didn't do if for me. My all time favorite movie (though not really a chick flick) is Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis.
