Is anyone using the computerized Fastbridge Reading CBM for beginning of the year benchmarks? If you are , how are you assessing the students in your district who are remote learners? We have some students for in person on-site instruction and some students who are receiving remote instruction. We are trying to figure out how to give the benchmarks to the remote learners and also keep the results valid. Any info. or help is appreciated.

We don't use that test, but we use one similar. We have the students take the test live on Zoom. We can't see their test screen, but we can watch them take the test. We're able to see if parents or siblings are in the room and if they are providing help. We're able to talk to the students and give them reminders about doing the work themselves. With our youngest K-2 students, we are doing this in small groups of about four at a time or, in some cases, one on one.

We have requested that our remote learners come in after school hours one day in these first few weeks to do the FASTBridge assessments. Most have been willing to do that since there aren't other students in the building during the time they are here.
