I was asked to spearhead a committee to have a fashion show fundraiser in our non-profit preschool. I've never done anything like this before and I really hope you all have some great ideas/experiences to share!!

Do I just call/send a letter around to area clothing stores and ask them to donate clothing for the kids to wear, which we later auction off? Do we charge a dollar to get in? Do we have a bake sale or 50/50 auction in addition to the fashion show?? I would love any ideas/hints/suggestions! Thanks.

    Hi,
In the past our non profit child care did a fund raiser fashion show we charged $2.oo a ticket and we went to our local mall and gave a letter to the different stores expalaining who we were and how we service children. In return the stores lent out outfits and gave out some cupons on upcomming sales. Parents of the children participating had the option of purchasing the outfits. The fund raiser was a big hit and many families came to watch their children.
