How often do you wear them? I have an event to attend & I want to wear them, but haven't put them on in about 2 yrs, so I practiced putting some on today & I did quite well! I should put them on a lot more often! I'm going to experiment w/ different brands & types.
I just love fake eyelashes. Looking at them in the boxes they look crazy, but my friend made me wear them once and I was FABULOUS! :haha: I've only wore them that one time, and to my wedding. I'm going to attempt to wear them to a wedding this weekend. I've never put them on myself before so we'll see how it goes!!
Yeah, my own are pretty good already too, but there's nothing wrong w/ going ultra glam, whether for a special occasion or just because!
I've had my hairdresser put them on me for parties, and I love the way they look. This year I had the Benefit counter put the semi-permanent ones on-they were suppose to last for 2 weeks. They fell out in 2 days. Boo hoo.
I def. love the glam look, but I'm not a fan of false lashes. They're a hassle to put on, uncomfortable and run the risk of unstick in the inner corner and in my opinion the end result is just not worth all that. I use good quality mascara, curl my lashes, use extra liner and Eye Candy sparkles for glamor When I did use, (or if I do decide to use false lashes) I cut them in half and only put them on on the outer side of my eyes. Then it wasn't so uncomfortable, but still added some lashes.
I have eyelash extensions. I love them but it's pricey. They look full but not fake. I've had them since October and get them filled about every three weeks.
I wore false eyelashes one and it was for my wedding. I had them done professionally by a Mac specialist (and paid dearly for them!). They looked nice, but they were heavy and I felt a little self conscious like everyone was going to know they were fake or one would fall off. (neither happened thankfully) They look nice, but if I had it to do over I probably wouldn't have gotten them (nor wore so much make up. I feel like I covered up a lot of my natural beauty that day ) Anyway, if you do get them done, I'd recommend going to Mac or paying a little extra. Mom went to an inexpensive nail place to get her lashes done and they came out terribly. Way too long, they began shedding, and Mom said the glue itched her eye lids.
I have recently started using Younique 3D Fiber Lashes and I love them! They are not fake lashes; they actually go on like mascara. Super easy and very good results for me.
Wow, I'm so glad you told me about those! I just checked out their site & I'd love to try them! Do you know of a store who carries them OR is it just online?
As far as I know, it is only through their consultants. The consultant site I shop through is www.youniqueproducts.com/leishatays (she is my former youth minister at church and a single mother doing this to make ends meet for her 2 children). Everything is shipped directly to you, so you don't have to worry about them getting it to you.
