Ok, so I have been playing on face book... but I still don't quite understand how it works. I need a tutorial or something. Like people post videos and pictures and things. How come when I post I don't see my own posting? Hmmm....
Well I can fill in the "what are you doing right now" part, but I see people put videos, become FANS of things, etc. How does that happen?
I've just started Face book this week. I don't know if it's what I thought it was, if that makes sense? Miss Froggy, do you have many friends? I'm shocked at the connectedness to all of it. Wanna be my friend? I think I remember seeing a thread about it a couple of weeks ago, but have no more time this a.m. to look, I'm going to be late!!
Well, I have basically been on facebook all day. I also talked to a friend on the phone and she sort of navigated things for me a bit. I found there are games to play. I am the BIGGEST BRAIN of all my friends (but only 3 others have played the game!) I am getting the hang of what you can do on it. I still don't know how you become a fan of something though...
What are you a fan off? Search them and if they have a group page there should be a link that says "become a fan".

I like the MyFarm and the sames on there under SaveThePlanet. Those are fun. I'm getting into Scramble.

I do the Lil'Blue Cove and Little Green Patch to save the rainforest. Friends send you fish/plants and you send them fish/plants. It is supposed to help save rainforest land when you use the application. I can't get my friends and family to send me fish back! They just accept the fish/plants that I send! I guess eveyone is so busy right now! YOu help your friends take care of their "cove" and "green patch." It is rather cute! You earn "green bucks" and you can use the $$ to buy things for your cove or your friends'. You earn 50 bucks each day you log in. As far as your posts "what you're doing right now" all of your posts will showup on your profile page, but they all don't show up on your home page. Usually they only put the most recent post on your home page.
Hey "Miss Froggy" that's so cool that you made that group on Facebook. We went to grad school together! I can't believe it with all of the teachers on here from across the U.S! That's cool...reminds me of the "it's a small world"

Anytime anybody from here makes a friend request to me, they usually put "atoz group" on there so I know who they are.
I just registered today simply to see how some people from my HS look these days. MY ONLY QUESTION SO FAR IS: Is there a way to enlarge the photos of everyone? There's no way to click on anything & unless someone has a close-up picture, I can't see it that well. Thanks!
My kids tell me I'm too old to do facebook! haha! I'm a member, but they say it is supposed to be for the "younger" generation. Hmmm... They say MySpace is for older people, but they also know I will never post anything on MySpace. I think they are afraid I will somehow become linked and end up as "friends" with their friends. :lol: I would probably worry about the same thing if I were a kid, too.
Good for you Weazy! My DD had a picture of her in a bikini and I almost had a fit, it was gorgeous, but totally inappropriate for the masses! I told her she was naive... that's why your kids don't want you on there, you can monitor them pretty closely without their knowledge of it.
I'm looking at different individuals' posts and as I read them, I'm thinking, "Aw... that's sweet Miss Froggy." For me, it's just added a new dimension for this forum.
