Exasperated with Students Home Situations

    I wrote this song in my classroom one day after hearing a 13-year-old student of mine ran away and became pregnant. I made this song about being exasperated with the issues my students face. Its also about feeling myself becoming numb and disengaged as a coping mechanism.

    I thought it was worth sharing. If you have an aversion to rap music or Christianity you might want to avoid this one as there is a prayer at the end.

    That is so beautiful. It really hurts the most when you as an outsider sees so much potential in a student, you see the is so much potential for good there but you know that as a result of the parents 99 to 1 that potential for good will never come out.
