I love to cook, but I don't always do that much of it. I cook more in winter since I like having the extra heat in the house then. For some reason the "cooking bug" hit me today.

First, I made a cake. I did use box cake mix, but I made my own frosting. Then I made homemade au gratin potatoes, which I ate for supper.

I've just put a small chuck roast into the crock pot, and I'll have it tomorrow. I'm not a big meat eater, and I rarely eat any of it. Somehow it just caught my eye at the grocery today, so I have roast.

The funny thing is that I am by myself this week. When I talked to DH earlier, he wanted to know why I was having cake and roast while he was gone.

DH is usually gone every other week, and I love cooking when he's gone - I can make stew and shrimp and all kinds of things he doesn't like!

My tv stays on the Food network or the cooking channel. I love watching others cook! I like to make fun of them when they taste their own food and how they have to make those comments and faces about how good it is. And the adjectives crack me up...

Personally, I am on a grilling kick.
I will be grilling a steak and grilling corn and zucchini tomorrow. I loved grilled vegetables!

I do sometimes get the overwhelming desire to bake or otherwise make sweets. I don't necessarily need to like what I'm baking...I just want to go through the process. I have my own little Food Network show in my head--it's an alliteration using my last name--and have a grand time alone in my kitchen. :)

I make things that DH doesn't like when he's gone, although I do sometimes make things he does like--like the roast.

I also sometimes bake and then take whatever I made to work. I just wanted to bake, but I didn't really want to eat it.

DH watches Food Network a lot. I'm a pretty "ordinary" type of cook, as I usually don't make really fancy stuff, just basic "down home" kinds of things. DH makes things with weird ingredients. Some of his creations are pretty good. He made bananas foster. Now, that was great!

I'm in the cooking mood sometimes. I have quite a few great recipes saved on my computer from the cook shows I watch.

    No.
    I NEVER feel like cooking.

I don't enjoy cooking. I wish I did. Luckily, my husband does enjoy cooking.

I love cooking and baking. I find it quite relaxing.

I'm not married, don't have any kids and so the only people I cook for are my parents. I love trying to recipes, using different spices, cooking techniques, etc.

Yup, I will sometimes cook or bake just because I feel like it. More baking than cooking though. My kids (ages 8 and 10) like to help out so sometimes we'll do it cause we're bored and need something to do.

I love to cook  Tonight we had beer batter tilapia, mushroom rice, and steamed asparagus. Somehow when I cook everything feels right in the world!

I love to cook--all the time. Tonight I used the crock pot to make chicken mole. Yum, I have enough left for my lunch.

I love cooking and baking. I really like it now that we have a dishwasher and I don't have to do a ton of clean-up. :)
