I am doing an Eric Carle unit and would like some ideas for centers. We will do some caterpillar and butterfly activities since we will read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, but I am stumped for other ideas. We will also read, I See a Song, Draw Me a Star, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Fom Head to Toe and other favorites. We are going to make "Eric Carle Art" by decorating paper and then tearing and cutting to create pictures. Any other center ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Fun! Here is a page for Brown Bear Brown Bear ideas:
    http://www.atozteacherstuff.com/Themes/Brown_Bear__Brown_Bear/index.shtml

I used to read "Have you seen my cat?" and then the kids would cut construction paper to illustrate a page in a class book. It was early in the year for K, so I did a fill-in-the-blank like, "This is my _____." They'd fill in the name of the type of animal they made. You could do something like that at the preschool level. :)

Here's some of the activities we did when we had an insects theme:

    Hope this helps.
