Is it just me or are all teachers going crazy at the end of the year? Today, during my lunch break (finally, actually getting a lunch break...its been months), I had a full-on conversation with one of my colleagues about wanting to be a sloth. I mean, normally, around this time......I get irritable and become a short fuse. This year, I am just losing my mind. Maybe my students were not as annoying and difficult as last year? I do not know, but I am slowly becoming CRAZY.
Everything is a struggle for us in 5th... lining up in the classroom, walking in the hallway, going to the bathroom, sharpening pencils, etc. Its ridiculous. Only 19 more days for us : /
It feels like not just teachers, but even our ADMIN is giving up this year...usually they do at least something to celebrate the end of the year, and this year we've got nothing. It has been a rough year, but our admin needs to set the standard our morale will be even worse next year
I had a student getting upset today because his classroom cleanup job was the Smart board that had student tasks broken down into steps on it. I had a full ten minute conversation with him on the verge of tears trying to explain that no matter how hard he scrubbed with that little wet wipe the words weren't coming off because they were just being projected, they weren't physically written on the board. It's just that time of year.
