It seems like many suggest emailing Ps in nearby areas. What would be an appropriate subject title? How do you introduce yourself, especially if you've never worked there and they don't know you?

I sometimes put inquiry or position I want and an explanation of why I am emailing. Plus, attach my resume and cover letter.

When I did it, I think it was something along the lines of "math position query" or something similar.

I put my cover letter into the body of the email, then attached my resume.
