Okay, so I know what an Elmo/Document camera is, but my question is other brands are there besides an ELMO? I would like to be able to by one with my school sponsor money, but I don't just want to buy a cheap one. Does anyone have one? How much did yours cost? All I want to be able to do is have it act like an overhead projector without having to have the transparencies.

Does this even make sense what I am asking?

Yes it does. Google Doc Cam and see what you get... a doc cam is like the overhead, but projects anything on the flat surface below the "camera" part. You need a projector also, to project onto a screen, whiteboard, or white wall. I love them.

I have an Avervision doc cam and I love it. I think it runs about $600 or $700.
