Does anyone belong to this site? Would you recommend it? I am having a hard time deciding if I want to register for it or not.

I did for awhile. However, when I moved to sixth grade it was less helpful I thought. I think that it depends on what you teach and what age level.

I thought it was great when I taught 3-6th grade special education though!

I'm totally biased; I did a lot of freelance work for edhelper.com a few years ago.

I think it's a great site. Aside from all the freebies, there are some pretty comprehensive resources.

(And the owner is a total professional, dedicated to putting a quality product out there.)

    Thank you

I am a Special Education teacher for K-5. I was looking through the site and it looked like a great one. However, I like to get fellow teachers' opinions before I make any commitments to any sites. I believe I will sign up for it.

I have been a member of it for years. I absolutely love it. I get several reading comprehension activities a week off it, math drills, holiday activities, make spelling puzzles, etc. It's completely worth the money to me!

Our school had a membership a couple of years back and I really used it a lot. It was great for supplemental work for math. I also liked the reading comprehension pieces. I miss it (it wasn't renewed) and I'm thinking of purchasing it myself.

I am a 6th grade teacher, and I love it. I find it very useful and will renew forever.

I've used it, although not too often. If I were to pay for it, I'd find a friend or colleague to split it with, though.

I love edhelper! It is great for elementary students, and for you it could be a great way to meet the unique needs of your students.

I've used it almost daily for the past 4 years. Best investment ever.

When I taught Social Studies, I used the reading comprehension selections to blend in reading skills. (I just don't feel like using the word "incorporate" right now. I'm tired and am slightly rebelling against any word I've heard in an inservice during the past five years.)

I've been a member for almost a year now and it has been a great investment. It was invaluable during the summer when I taught the PreK program and needed a whole new range of materials. I will definitely renew.

I was a member for a year, but never remembered to use it. Reading all of these comments makes me want to give it another chance!

    ed-helper

I am very interested in doing freelance work for ed-helper. Does anyone have any information on who to contact or if they are still using free lance writers? I am a Special Education teacher and a stay at home mom. I have used ed-helper in the past, and would love to continue a relationship with them.

Is it good for upper elementary? 4/5/6?

I would be surprised to hear that he was hiring. He already has a staff, and the work I did was at a time when he was setting things up and needed someone for the high school math sections.

But put a resume and a cover letter together and send it off.
