Since this afternoon I've noticed a ringing in my right ear. It's like the sound you hear for the first few hours after leaving a concert. Just the one ear. It is SUPer annoying. I didn't encounter any loud noises today. I'm hoping it will have passed by the time I wake in the morning (if I can sleep with this ringing). But, if it is still there in the morning, what do I do?
My mom had constant ringing in her ears. There was nothing they could for her I cant remember off hand what the doctor called it I hope yours goes away!
I just looked it up she had this http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/ringing-in-the-ears-tinnitus-topic-overview
Go to the doctor. Ringing in your ears can be nothing or could be major, or could be any variety of things in between. If its still that bothersome in the morning, or it prevents you from sleeping, then you need to let your doctor decide if its something to be concerned about or not.
I have tinnitus pretty bad. I also have major hearing loss in my right ear. I would definately make an appontment with the ear doctor. Don't want to take any chances! If it turns out that you have tinnitus, then all you can do is just have some noise going on all the time. Sometimes, I don't even notice it when I am sleeping. Other times, it seems so loud and strong. But, it's just something that I've learned to ignore. I had it since I was a child, and my drastic hearing loss in my right ear occurred when I was only 18. I don't know if there is a link. They never did figure out what happened or the cause. ?????
i have ringing in my ears also. i'm worried that there's hearing loss in the future. sometimes, i even experienced "hearing loss" after the children scream in front of me.
It could just be an infection, like I currently have. I've got ringing, too, and that's one of the signs of an ear infection. Antibiotics should clear it up.
Yes, I had major ringing when I had an ear infection a few months back! It is annoying......but check things out with a dr. to be safe!
