Why do people, especially teenagers get 'ear plugs" ....those really big piercings in the ears where you can practically stick a finger through? There are a lot of kids at my high school that do this. You can literally see right through their earlobe!! Nothing against adults who already have this done, it just makes me sad that these kiddos are going to grow up and not be able to do anything about it. At least with small piercings or tattoos...they can be covered up in someway. I just don't see how these huge holes could ever go away?
I'm sure a creative doctor will come up with a fix. There's a clinic near me called Dr. Tattoff that specializes in tattoo removal.
It has to be repaired by a plastic surgeon. I was watching Doctor 90210 and there was a patient who had to have his lobe sewn back together because it ripped! (I saw him at Disneyland on the Dumbo ride, too. Random!! )
They start with a very small plug, and then gradually increase the plug size until they can put a large plug in the lobe. I think they look really strange when the plug is out, and the lobe just hangs and jiggles...
Having Survived the 60s drugs, the 70s disco, the 80s Rubik's cube, the 90s Bill Clinton, 2000s George Bush and 9/11......... through all that I never thought of piercing anything or tattooing anything. The 20 year old hipster/heavy metal drummer/pre-med student who lives next door to me has giant ones. Mostly paid for by mowing my lawns. He plans on having plastic surgery when it's time to enter the real world.
I'm sorry, but I think those things are horrible. It is worse when i see someone that works at a store with those...
I hate them! I see no point in making holes in ones earlobes the size of silver dollars...I saw a man at walmart a few weeks ago and he had corks from wine bottles in his ears...I just do not get it!
I don't know, but my insides cringe whenever I see that huge hole in someone's ear lobe. You see a lot in Miami... When I saw the title of this thread I thought "wow, funny" since I am up at 4 AM because I NEED EAR PLUGS to block my sweet hubby's snoring!
For the past 2 weeks, I've woken up to my husband's snoring anytime between midnight and 2:00am--about half the time I've been able to get back to sleep. I don't like the look of the plugs either and it's so much more difficult to change when you decide you don't want them any more.
**Just a note of advice** You should have your husbands checked for Sleep Apnea. Snoring is a big sign for it.
The allergies, check that, cold (allergies mean that part of you is weak) that he is suffering from is the cause of the current bout of snoring. You'd think after 10 days with no improvement, he'd do something about it. (Oops, sorry, let some frustration slip out there.) Hijack complete...sorry

What happens when he sneezes. It would be coming from multiple holes. I would definitely hate to be standing beside him when it does happen. :lol:
