    Hi again,

I have an interview tomorrow for a leave replacement. (Please cross your fingers for me!!!) Anyway, I do have a suit, but it's summer! I also have a royal blue blouse with a belt around the middle. I would wear it with nice dress slacks. Is this too casual? I feel like a suit is too formal for the summer. I'm also teaching right before the interview, so I want to be comfortable.
    Thanks!
    mardi

I would do the top and a skirt...I think skirts look a little more dressy. A nice pencil skirt and heels...

    Where do you live?

In NY, you would need the suit.

I don't think it matters if it is summer. I think the suit will always impress and show them you are in charge..of course after you rock out the lesson :)

I think as long as you look like you put forth effort to dress up really nice then you are good. I wore a short sleeved skirt suit to my first interview, then a pencil "skirt" type DRESS to my second interview. got the job so it must have worked!
You want to wear something that YOU will be confident in.

I have an interview on Wednesday. I'm wearing black pants, a black jacket (not a suit set but passable) and a black and white striped button down shirt (like pinstripes). I also have the same shirt in white but with dark purple and black stripes. I don't know which would look better.
Mardi, is there some way you can duck into a bathroom (I stopped at McDonald's once) to just change clothes? It would only take a few minutes and you won't be all rumpled from teaching earlier in the day.

I would probably do the suit, also. You could always wear a more comfortable blouse while teaching and then put the jacket on right before your interview. Good luck!

Black and white. It's more "summery" than black and dark purple.

I have an interview on Thursday and am trying to decide what to wear to. I kind of feel like I will end up wearing the suit, but it is so hot here. :(

Suits always impress even if it's hot...just get a summery one. They have suits in thinner fabrics. If you don't have one, just do the blouse and skirt with heel and maybe dress it up with a neck scarf and more formal jewelry.
