I guess this could have gone under any age group but this is my age group that I teach.

So I've been told were supposed to decorate our doors each month (yay another thing to add to my plate!). Our doors, like assume most, are wood.

What is the best thing to use to hang my decorations so I don't take the finish off the doors?

Found out we can use packing tape. Assuming from your name I think you would love my door. It looks like Mickey Mouse!

You could also mix cornstarch and water and apply a fabric background. This would be done once for the year. Then you could probably use hot glue on the fabric??

I dunno. I am talking myself out of my suggestion as I type it. lol

I've used hot glue. It lasts and is easy to remove. A way that makes it super easy to remove is by using a steamer and plastic spatula.

Painters tape works well for most things. My second go-to is masking tape. They make "putty" for sticking things on surfaces, and I know that other teachers in my school use it. It's actually reusable.

    Adhesives

I use Sticky Tack. I have had the same batch for 12 years! It is reusable and does not hurt surfaces or the paper. I just found out we are no longer allowed to decorate our doors  I used the door to display my kiddos pictures with our class theme each year. Nothing on the school hallway walls this year either. Really cuts down on where we can display kids stuff :(
