...that Ps could receive a rejection email when we withdraw interest from a job posting. It would read:

You waited too long to call me. You're really missing out. I will keep you in mind for next year.

Basically they are getting that memo when you withdraw interest.

Lol! I've felt the same way. Good to see someone else on here with a sense of humor.

I have had 4-5 schools call me for interviews after I already accepted a position, so of course I was polite about it but informed then that I had already accepted something else. I lucked into a job really early in the hiring season so I had only been able to apply to a select few positions that were already open, and most of them were posted around March or so. Some of them sounded really disappointed...and I was totally thinking "I applied for that position 2-3 months ago...this is what happens to procrastinators!"

Schools are busy places...they aren't necessarily procrastinating. Congrats for those who have found jobs already. Those districts that didn't snap you up right away will find other qualified, great teachers to fill their vacancies.. It all works out.

I had just accepted a job with one district when I got a call from a principal in another district. She made it sound as if I should reconsider my decision.

    Um...yeah.
