This is a fantastic website! I just wrote a grant for a set of DVD's about the history of NYC and it was just fully funded. I was skeptical but it happened so quickly. A big thanks to the donor!

Has this worked for anyone else?

I've only used it twice and I got funding for one of my projects but not the other. I say it does not hurt to try all avenues.

Someone on the board recommended that I try it but I have never written a grant before. Is it hard?
I don't even know what contents it must have.

    MsBee,
Go to the site. They walk you through it. If it isn't exactly right, they won't publish it, and will send it back to you with comments on what you need to do. You make those changes, then they publish it for you.

For anyone that has gotten something funded through them do you know if they contact your Principal? Just curious

    I'm 2 for 2:
The first donation was for about 10 picture books I selected as mentor texts for WW.
The second donation was for a set of clear-view binders, easle paper, portfolios, and writing prompts for WW.

I am very grateful. I think it helps to have moderately priced proposals as well.

I would encourage anyone to try it!

In a way. They send a fax to your school addressed "Head of School." Our secretary just trashes it, so if I didn't tell our principal, he'd never know -- but I do tell him. ;) I'm sure at most schools things addressed "Head of School" are actually routed to the principal. Imagine that? ;)
