We would like to get 4-5 picnic tables for an outdoor learning area. They're around $100 at Home Depot. Any ideas of places to reach out to for donations towards getting them?

Can’t you start by asking for donations of used ones?

That's fine but I'm wondering who to ask? Parents?

That’s a good place to start. If principals do a weekly memo, ask if that could be tagged on. If not, maybe send a flyer home.

I don't know if you're near a Lowe's but they have a charitable foundation that focuses on K-12/community projects. They're currently redoing the cross-country track at my district's high school (clearing overgrown paths, rebuilding a couple of bridges, etc.) and my understanding is that all the materials and time are donated. Might be worth looking into?

In my area, building items for schools have many times been eagle projects. Contact some local scout troops.

Didn’t even think of that one even though that was my cousins eagle scout project (though at a park).
