I am just curious if your school is using Canvas for it's LMS. If you are or will be using it - how is it going? I would love to hear your thoughts. Our school used the free version this past school year and I loved it, but I am curious to know how other schools view it.
We have it available. No one I know uses it. I went to a training session and liked what I saw, but the one time I used it several of my students complained about yet another system to learn and remember login info. I decided to wait a bit to give them a break and never got back to it.
You may try another learning management system software which is easy to use and does not require much training. It starts instantly and is built at no additional cost. I am talking about WizIQ cloud based LMS which does not require any installation or upgrade.
We have adopted it, and it will be fully rolled out to student next year. This year we are being encouraged to experiment with it. I have tried a few features and will spend more time on it this summer. The student will not need to remember a new login and password; they will use their current school login.
Our district is moving to it next year. I've looked at the free demo of it already, and it looks cool.
