Is your school saving Box Tops?
Yes... PTA is in charge of this program. About every 2-3 months, PTA collects the Box Tops from each class and sees who brought in the most and give the class an ice cream party...
Yes, and it is really fun this year. There is a competition between K-1, 2-3, and 4-5. Every 9 weeks which every group has the most will receive a popcorn or ice pop party. The kids are really pumped up about it.
Yup! Same as Jenglish97
Yes, but my kids couldn't care less about box tops.
Yes because our district cut our entire media budget. This is the only way we get any money! The media teacher handles it.
We also collect Campbell's labels, but that is a PTA thing.
nope...but we should.
Yes, my class is really excited. When the lady came around to collect them earlier this week she said we were the "hands down winners" with as many as they had collected. They have already started collecting for "round 2".
Yes but I am not sure if we ever get stuff from it. At least they have never told us they got things. Strange. I hadn't thought about it until now.
Yes. And my class collected the most this month - more than 600!
Our school got over $200 this month from boxtops.
yes, but it is mostly a trickle!

Yes,but the money goes to the gym. I wouldn't mind, but they already have a ton of equipment. I wish that it could go in a general fund & we could write requests to spend it/ buy things with it.
Yes, we just started but we have a good start going!!
Yes and we have a friendly competition between classes also. They get to choose their prize like popcorn and movie or ice cream party. I'm not sure but I believe last year we raised over $500.00 and have passed that already this year.
yes we do, I have one student who has been bringing in lots of them.
Yes. I took over as Box Top coordinator this year. I'll be sending in about 5,700 box tops on Monday! I don't have any contests, but I do keep a box downstairs that anyone can drop them off at. The coordinator gets printable papers that the kids can clip their box tops on to (the October one has bats and room for 10 box tops). I hung that up in the work room and made it an option - the kids who received one, really had fun with it. My students saw the football and soccer themed ones (and the girls saw the February one with hearts) and they've been begging me to send those home so they can fill the sheets up.
I've been trying to get more teachers (and parents) from my school to sign up on the Box Top website. I'm going to do a push for people to do their online holiday shopping through the Box Top Marketplace and earn additional $ for our school that way.
No clue what the money has gone to in the past - it was never announced. I'm going to make a point to let the staff & students know how it's helping our school!
PS - Vista Print is one of the sponsoring companies with the Box Top Marketplace and a portion of your purchases could be donated back to your school!
Yes, in the lower grade rooms received a dorm size refrigerator, one room received a Christmas Tree, books, videos and etc. We keep afternoon milk and water in the refrigerators for the students.
Box Tops sends your school a check. You can always check it out on their website.
Your school should be listed there and you can see how much you've earned in the past.
Box Tops are EVERYWHERE in my life, AAGH!!! I have been collecting them but feel torn about where to donate them. My stepkids' classes, my daughter's preschool, and the class I am working in all collect them. Dividing them four ways isn't very effective, and I feel bad no matter what I decide!!
Regardless, I love the program. It's such an easy way to earn money!!

yes, we also collect nestle water bottle labels, campbell's soup labels, and tyson chicken box tops
Before I taught I was a PTO mom- in charge of Campbell's soup labels. It's a lot of work- trimming them, bundling them...with not much pay off for the effort but with school budgets the way they are, every little bit counts!
My kids get into the box tops thing because we have a school competition- 2 times a year they collect and award the class with the most a pizza party. They even check our class tissue boxes for box tops!!
