Hi. I know I could have students cut out circles and fractions by folding and cutting, but I would like to make my own on hard stock so I can write on the pieces what the fraction is, the decimal, and the percentage.

I think this would save time and give us more time for the lesson. Anyone have any large patterns that you would be willing to share?

Or, does anyone know where I could buy them on stiff paper without paying an arm and a leg?

    Thanks for any help!

Yes, go to superteacherworksheets.com. Under fractions there are a few printable fraction manipulatives. I put them on cardstock paper and they work great. Hope this helps.

    Special
If your school has AIMS books, there is one on fractions. In it it has instructions for making "flippers" which are incredible. Two little manipulatives that show all the needed fractions in bright stiff colors, and you can totally make it yourself. Check and see if you district has this book. It is fab.

If you google math blackline masters you can get a bunch of outlines. Copy on cardstock.

Rainstorm, I think my school does have the AIMS books. I will ask our SPED coordinator.

Hoku, thanks for the link. I saw a decimal sheet that might come in handy for tching decimals to percentage. Thanks!

Those are not the same as in the AIMS book, but they are fabulous! That's the name of the AIMS book now that I think of it -- Fabulous Fractions. :)
